앞서 애견용품 시장에 대해 보도해 드렸는데요, 애완동물 절도가 잦은 페루에서는 아예 주인의 주민번호를 개의 몸에 새겨 넣는 문신이 인기입니다. 로이터 영어뉴습니다.

In an effort to curb rampant pet theft, dog owners in Lima, Peru are being encouraged to tattoo their dogs so they can be more easily identified.
빈번히 발생하는 애완동물 절도 사건을 방지하기 위해 페루 리마에서는 애완견에게 문신 해주기가 장려되고 있다. 이렇게 하면 주인은 보다 쉽게 자신의 애견을 확인할 수 있다.
Dog owners who went to get the free dog tattoos on Tuesday said they thought the plan was a great idea in light of recent pet robberies.
18일(현지 시간) 애견에게 무료로 문신을 해주는 곳을 찾은 개 주인들은 최근의 애견 절도 사건을 고려하면, 이번 계획이 아주 훌륭한 방안인 것 같다고 말했다.
SOUNDBITE: (Spanish) DOG OWNER, SOFIA VILA, SAYING:
"We know there have been a lot of animal robberies. And we don`t want to lose Ruffo. We know that now with the tattoo we can identify him. We don`t want to lose Ruffo. We lost him once and it was really hard. We cried a lot and that is why we`ve decided to get the tattoo for our little Ruffo."

" 우리는 여러 건의 동물 절도 사건을 알고 있다. 우리는 애견 루포(Ruffo)를 잃어버리고 싶지 않다. 문신이 있으면 우리는 루포를 찾을 수 있다. 루포를 잃고 싶지 않다. 우리는 루포를 잃어버린 적이 있는데, 당시 녀석을 찾는데 너무 힘들었다. 그때 하염없이 울었던 기억이 있어 이번에 사랑스러운 루포에게 문신을 해주기로 결정했다."
The tattoo, which is their owner`s national identification number, is given behind one of the animal`s ears.
애완견의 한쪽 귀 뒤편에 새겨지는 문신의 내용은 주인의 주민등록번호다.
Being permanent it is designed to make it easier to identifiy the pet in case the pet is stolen or goes missing.
애완견을 도둑맞거나 잃어버렸을 경우, 보다 쉽게 찾기 위해 영구적인 문신술이 고안됐다.
